How is your training going?

I was wondering how you are all getting on with your training?

With the recent bad weather and then going on holiday, I have been conscious of not doing as much as I would like, so I've set out a program for August and early September combining bike rides and walking. I think it is doing the trick in that I had to run for the train today and wasn't hopelessly out of breath when I climbed aboard !

What's everyone else up to?

Hi Kevin,

I would also say that it is good to wind your training down 2 weeks before going to China as your muscles get stronger with rest, so push hard during most of August and treat yourself with a rest by doing light walks/cycling more as a tick over and have refreshed muscles for the big one.

At least you know your getting fitter with your train sprints...

I've started walking on the treadmill at the highest incline possible... but, i still slack off - i get easliy side tracked by promises of a sunny evening at the pub! Would love to see your training schedule - might just help force me to stick to one.
