I'm sure this information is buried in the many bits of data we have been given, but what kind of adaptors do we need to bring along for electrical equipment?
Just found this info: "Digital photographers and those that plan to bring notebook computers, be mindful of the voltages in China at 220 volts and 50/60 Hz. Plugs look similar to those used in North America, but are not the same, so bring along a power adapter if you need to recharge equipment"
I would suggest getting one of the international power adapters from Dixons or similar - seem to do the job in most places.
most of my chargers are 100V - 240V and 50/60 Hz... i've also got a converter to US and European style plugs. that should work or am i missing something?? techies??
I'm taking it that you need to take US style adaptor plugs to get appliances into the wall sockets, but that you might also need the normal phone chargers etc. to actually get the right power into certain devices.
